Punjabi DJ Services
Punjabi, Bollywood and international sets with professional sound and lighting.
We provide DJs for Punjabi and Asian weddings and events, mixing Punjabi, Bollywood and international music with professional sound and lighting included. DJ sets can be booked alongside live singers and dhol players so the whole evening is handled by one team.
A DJ who knows the room
Our DJs expertly read the room and tailor their music to your guests. Every crowd is different, so the set is shaped around the people in front of them as the night goes on, not played from a fixed list. Knowing the music is not the same as knowing when the room is ready for it.
They cover a wide variety of music, including Punjabi, Bollywood, Gujarati, classics, salsa, reggaeton and R&B. We also work with different DJs who specialise in different genres, so we can match the DJ to the sound you want for your event.
A DJ is included in our Gold package.
What the DJ booking includes
- An extensive music library: Punjabi, Bollywood, Gujarati, classics, salsa, reggaeton, R&B and more.
- Professional sound system and lighting, brought and set up by us.
- Custom playlists agreed with you, including your must-plays and your do-not-plays.
- Coordination with live performers, if you are also booking singers or dhol.
Booking the DJ with live performance
The strongest evenings usually are not purely one or the other. A live folk set or a dhol entry gives the night its moments; the DJ gives it its length.
Because we supply both, the transitions can be planned — dhol running into a first dance, a live set handing over to a DJ without a dead gap while equipment is swapped. That gap is the most common failure point when a family books performers from separate suppliers.
The DJ at a Punjabi wedding
At a wedding the DJ usually takes the room after the live performance rather than instead of it — dhol for the entrance, a folk set through the seated portion, then the decks for the rest of the night. Booked as one job, that handover is planned; booked separately, it is the point at which a full floor empties. Our Punjabi wedding entertainment page sets out how the whole week fits together.
Events we DJ
Weddings and receptions, Sangeet and Mehndi nights, engagement and birthday parties, corporate functions and community events. Sound and lighting scale with the venue, so the same service works in a function room or a large hall.
What to tell us when you enquire
The details that shape a DJ quote are the date, the venue, roughly how many guests you are expecting and what else is happening across the evening. Venues differ enormously in what they allow — sound limits, finish times, what can be rigged and where — and it is far easier to plan around those before the booking than to discover them on the night.
It is also worth telling us early if you are booking live performance as well. A room that has to accommodate dhol players, a live vocal set and a full DJ rig needs that thought through once, not three times by three different suppliers.
If you already have a must-play list, send it with the enquiry. If you have a do-not-play list, send that too — it is often the more useful of the two.
Pricing and booking
Every booking is quoted individually, with travel included, so there is no fixed price list. Lead times, travel and what we need for a quote are covered in the FAQs.
Enquire about Punjabi DJFrequently asked questions
What music does a Punjabi DJ play?
A wide variety, including Punjabi, Bollywood, Gujarati, classics, salsa, reggaeton and R&B. Our DJs read the room and tailor the music to your guests, and because we work with DJs who specialise in different genres, we can match the DJ to the sound you want.
Do you provide sound and lighting?
Sound and lighting come as part of our packages. A DJ is included in our Gold package, and we will confirm what your package covers for your venue when we quote.
Can we give you a playlist?
Yes. Custom playlists are standard. Send your must-plays and, just as usefully, anything you definitely do not want played.
Can we book a DJ and live performers together?
Yes, through our packages. Our Gold package includes a DJ, so the handovers between live sets and the DJ are planned rather than left to chance on the night.
How much does a Punjabi DJ cost?
Pricing is bespoke and quoted per event, based on what the evening needs and the travel involved. Send us your date and venue and we will quote for it.
Ready to talk about your event?
