Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This policy explains what personal information Punjabi Folk Entertainment Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf and what rights you have over it. It applies to punjabifolkentertainment.com.
Who we are
Punjabi Folk Entertainment Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@punjabifolkentertainment.com.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the information you put into it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Details about your event: the type of event, the date, the time, the venue, the location, and the expected number of guests
- Any message you choose to write
We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not collect special category data. We only receive what you choose to send us.
Why we use it
We use the information to respond to your enquiry, to prepare and send you a quote, and to arrange and deliver a booking if you go ahead. Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, where a booking proceeds, to perform that contract.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send marketing unless you have separately asked us to.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify — hosts this website and stores enquiry records submitted through the form.
- Google — we use a Gmail account to receive and reply to enquiry emails.
- Resend — delivers the enquiry email from the contact form to our inbox.
These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to respond to you, to deliver a booking, and to meet our ordinary business and accounting obligations afterwards. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Some embedded content and third-party resources — such as Google Fonts and any embedded video or review widgets — are loaded from external providers, and those providers may set their own cookies or record your IP address when the content loads.
Visitor statistics
We count visits to this website so we can see which pages are useful and how people find us. This does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each visit we record the pages viewed, roughly how long each was open, the website or search engine that linked to us, the type of device and browser, an approximate location (country and town, worked out from your IP address) and whether an enquiry was sent. Your IP address itself is not stored: it is combined with your browser details and the date and turned into a code that cannot be reversed, which changes every day. These statistics are stored by Netlify and are only seen by us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page. This version was published in October 2026.
